Look Ahead Sept 8, 2025

It was a great week last week!
We had so much fun hearing all the stories about your summer adventures ????
We are also very grateful for your patience as we worked through our last minute re-organization.
Community Spirit
We love how everyone has been taking care of each other - modelling the Catholic world jubilee spirit of hope.

Pope Francis: "We must fan the flame of hope that has been given us, and help everyone to gain new strength and certainty by looking to the future with an open spirit, a trusting heart and far-sighted vision."

Open House and Book Fair
Our annual get together is happening September 17th.
You can order a BBQ dinner on line through Cash Online.

Terry Fox
We'll be part of the big show celebrating the 45th anniversary of Terry's journey. Our goal is $800.
You can begin to donate to cancer research on behalf of yourself or in honour of someone else at this link:

School Lunch
Check out Cash Online to see how to order Tuesday Pizza, Wednesday Mr. Sub and Thursday Hero Burgers.
Combos and ordering deadlines and details are attached (think about September 25th...hmmm)

SafeVoice
Have a concern about safety or behaviour?
Your child can log a concern here:

Catholic Code of Conduct
This governs how things happen in our school for adults and children, including dress code (top of shoulder to mid thigh coverage), cellphone usage (educator discretion only) etc.
Please take a look and perhaps even review it with your child:  https://joebr.dpcdsb.org/students/elementary-student-handbook

School Web Page
Our webpage has been updated and it's really easy to view. joebr.dpcdsb.org
We'll gradually move our calendar and communications to that space so that you can bookmark one place and look back frequently.

Catholic School Advisory Council
The committee of people who make the fundraising and fun events happen!
Everyone is welcome to attend: September 22, 6:30pm in the library.

St. Jerome Parish Bulletin is attached...

With all the news that’s fit to print from the parish, including Father James' Pastor’s letter.

The Bus

Yeah, it's been a challenge!

Construction and traffic have created mayhem right across Brampton.

STOPR is working on adjustments to get your kids to school on time.

Sign up here to get notices of changes in the bus arrival times and peace of mind: https://www.stopr.ca/subscribe-for-alerts

Letters requesting courtesy bus seats for ineligible walkers will be sent home after September 15th.

STOPR usually processes and grants them in late September or the first week of October, based mostly on safety needs.

School Cash Online

All school purchases are made using School Cash Online

https://www.dpcdsb.org/parents/school-cash-online

Parking and Stopping

We remain a priority school for Traffic control.

Parking in the No Parking, Stopping in the No Stopping and pulling into the parking lot or  Fire Lane during drop off and dismissal times can result in significant tickets. The camera doesn't lie. ????

International and Indigenous Languages

It's never bad to know a second (third?) language.

Languages offered and enrollment details are attached.
